Dodital Trek (Max Altitude: 4115 Mts)

Situated at an altitude of 3024 m from sea level, north of Uttarkashi and surrounded by dense woods of oak, pine, deodar and rhododendrons. The amazing lake is full of rare fishes and the Himalayan Golden Trout’s. The trek to Dodital commences from Uttarkashi to Kalyani and is accessible by motor. Kalyani to Agoda is gradual climb through woods, fields and villages on a mule track. The trek from Agoda to Dodital is steep and through dense forests.

Day 1: Arrival Delhi

Arrival in Delhi. Overnight in guesthouse/hotel.

Day 2:Delhi - Uttarkashi

Early morning drive to Uttarkashi. Enroute local sightseeing of Haridwar. Overnight at Uttarkashi.

Day 3: Uttarkashi – Kalyani - Agoda

A gradual uphill trek through beautiful landscape of thick forests and steep cliffs brings you to the mysterious. Overnight in camp.

Day 4: Agoda - Dodital

Dodital Lake (3307 m) - surrounded by dense forests, it is an ideal place for the nature lover. The trek from Agoda to Dodital is steep and through dense forests. Overnight in camp.

Day 5: Dodital

Day at leisure. The crystal clear lake and the surrounding dense forests create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Explore the surrounding areas. Overnight in camp.

Day 6: Dodital- Agoda

Begin the trek ascending the Darwa Dhar Ridge (4115 m) - the watershed of the Ganga and Yamuna River valleys. Overnight in camp.

Day 7: Darwa Dhar - Midway Camp

Descend towards the Yamuna Valley. Set up camp for the night in the forest. Overnight in camp.

Day 8: Camp-Hanuman Chatti

Continue to Hanuman Chatti (2400m) located on the banks of river Yamuna. Overnight in Forest Rest House.

Day 9: Hanuman Chatti-
Mussoorie

Drive to Mussoorie. Overnight in hotel/guesthouse at Mussoorie.

Day 10:
Mussoorie-Delhi

Day at leisure to explore the town. After lunch, proceed to Dehra Dun to board the 1700 hrs Train to Delhi. 2230 hrs arrival at Delhi; proceed to the Airport for onward flight back home.

The prime requirement for clothes and equipment you bring on your trip is that they should be comfortable and appropriate to the weather conditions that you are likely to meet. For protection against cold, a number of relatively thin layers is better than a few thick ones so choose your clothes accordingly. This also means that you will be better equipped to deal with a wide variation in temperature which is a common feature of any trip. You should not worry about how you are going to look on the trail. Comfort and protection against bad weather is far more important. Duffel bag (large, lockable bags are recommended over expensive backpacks/suitcase).
