Each pass affords glorious Himalayan view. With the moving closer to each pass crossing, more and more high summits unveil. At Kuari Khal, the entire array of glittering Garhwal peaks can be viewed. The prime requirement for clothes and equipment you bring on your trip is that they should be comfortable and appropriate to the weather conditions that you are likely to meet. For protection against cold, a number of relatively thin layers is better than a few thick ones so choose your clothes accordingly. This also means that you will be better equipped to deal with a wide variation in temperature which is a common feature of any trip. You should not worry about how you are going to look on the trail. Comfort and protection against bad weather is far more important. Duffel bag (large, lockable bags are recommended over expensive backpacks/suitcase).
